Deborah Adele, author of The Yamas & Niyamas, eloquently weaves stories and practical application ideas into her explanations of The Yamas. She shares, "The Yamas are like our personal GPS. They let us know when we are making a negative impact on the world and invite us to "turn around" and take a step towards harmony instead."
Work, relationships, emotions, and so many other factors help enrich our experience of life. At the end of the day, what matters is how well we have participated. This 5 week yoga and discussion series will invite all participants to practice yoga and explore :

Lynn Marie will host an open house in her downtown Des Moines loft for participants to meet and pick up the book on Sunday, October 16; participation not required. Another date for book pick up may be arranged if preferred by an individual.
The group will meet for 5 consecutive Sundays (October 23, 30, November 6, 13 & 20) from 6:30-8:30pm at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Des Moines. We understand conflicts may occur. Lynn Marie will work with individuals to identify make up options for class and or discussion.
Each participant will be asked to read the chapter (approximately 10-15 pages) between sessions and pick an idea to put into practice off the mat. We'll come back together to discuss our thoughts and personal lessons as well as to apply the concept to our physical yoga practice.
Registration includes a copy of The Yamas & Niyamas, 5 sessions of yoga, 5 unique to class home sequence guides and discussion with a refreshment bar.
